FAQs

How much is tuition?
Tuition varies for each production depending on the length of the rehearsal schedule. The tuition covers script use, costumes, make-up, rehearsal and performances.

Are scholarships available?
YES. Please contact our office for scholarship applications.

What about rehearsals?
Most cast members will rehearse 3-4 hours per week (the larger the part, the more rehearsal needed). The last week prior to performance is mandatory dress and tech rehearsals for all cast members.
Upcoming Rehearsals

Do I have to be at every rehearsal?
There may be some flexibility for the younger cast members and those with schedule conflicts. All schedule conflicts must be cleared with the director.

When will we know if we are cast?
If you are considered for a lead or major role you may be asked to come to CALLBACKS for another audition. Cast list will be posted within the week of auditions.

What if I'm not called back for "call backs"?
If you are not called back IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU DIDN'T GET A PART! Everyone who auditions is cast.

How will I find out if I'm cast or not?
The cast list will be posted at the studio and on our web site.

As a parent what should I do?
There is a parent meeting the first night of rehearsals. This is mandatory for ONE PARENT (GUARDIAN, if applicable) and the CAST MEMBER(S). You will receive a rehearsal schedule and pertinent information.

What happens at the rehearsals?
Rehearsals begin with an ALL CAST read-through. Cast members will work on vocal training, delivery, pacing, stage presence and manners and basic dance skills. Cast members can take advantage of down time to work on dialogue or to do homework.

Do you need volunteers?
Always! Volunteers are an essential component to what we do. Parents or family members are asked to commit to at least one work party for painting or building sets. Night of show we often need volunteers for backstage crew. We try to limit this so you can have one night in the audience. We are a non-profit with at least a third of our children on scholarship. The needs of each production cannot be met by tuition and ticket sales alone. If you are unable to help through volunteering, please consider donating online or returning one of our donation forms. This is a guaranteed good experience for all family members.
