This class is for children who are interested in acting on stage. Beginning to advanced thespians welcome. Together we will learn the rules of the stage, of acting and of improvisation. We will practice by using games and working through scenes and monologues. This class will draw from your child's own imagination to deliver the magic that brings theatre alive!
Students will have a final performance on the last day of class.

Lights, Camera, Act!

This class is for beginning to advanced actors who are interested in sharpening their skills. In this new class, Jackie Stollar will be working through the book “AUDITION” by Michael Shurtleff (famed Broadway and Hollywood casting director). Students will learn how to deliver a monologue, do “cold readings” and perform scenes from a variety of writers. Bring on Shakespeare, Ibsen and Miller! They will learn how to audition for professional shows as well as how to make the most of any role they are given. This class will be challenging and a lot of fun!

Biography: Jackie Stollar is a Senior studying Liberal Arts at Gutenberg College. She has acted in the Eugene community at various theaters. She has taught acting camps at Live Oak Academy in San Jose, California and directed an Acting Workshop for children in Oregon. She has studied Dance, Voice, and Acting since she was 6 and greatly enjoys sharing her love of the arts with children of all ages. She recently choreographed The Grinch for Upstarts Crow Studios.

This 8 week entr'acte camp will perform between scenes in the Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors! To lighten the mood the entr'actes bring their own brand of humor to the story and scenes, songs and dances will be set for them to be age appropriate.
